Observed this year on Ordibehesht 25th to 31st (May 20th), National Donor week is an observance dedicated to spreading awareness and education about organ, eye and tissue donation. By Imam Khomeini statment in 1989, the organ donation from a brain dead was approved and Dr. Fazel was the one who obtained the licence.  By educating and sharing the Donate Life message, we can each take small steps every day to help save and heal more lives, and honor the donor’s legacy of generosity and compassion. Therefore, Tehran University of Medical Sciences has organized a ceremony on May 20th for apperciation and promoting the organ, eye and tissue donation.
